Boom! Congratulations to the Explosion Select who won the 18u Division of the USA Select Pink Out Tournament in Spartanburg South Carolina! Battling a stacked 15 team field and wilting heat, the Explosion Select went 6-2 winning 3 games in international tie breakers. Avenging an earlier loss to the Spartanburg Stars in international tie breaker, the Select bats came alive and won the championship game 12-6 and the playoff "if" inning 4-3 after starting the inning down 3-0. ... A huge shout out to Ariel Holt who finished as the tournament MVP going 4-0 on the rubber and blasting a late inning 2-run homerun victory over the Carolina Cardinals. Both Kelsey Woods and Ariel Holt were a great pitching duo and homeruns were posted by Ariel Holt, Jarica Ensley, Kaylee Cox and Hannahkate Singleton. This tournament victory was a true team effort with great pitching, exceptional defense and timely hitting, absolutely outstanding effort ladies!
