Boom! Congratulations to the 18u Explosion Select who opened the 2018 Fall Season as the 18u Runner-up in the Big Orange Showcase held at Caswell Park in Knoxville, TN on 9-8-18 and 9-9-18! Facing a stout tournament field that included the KC Freedom, Kentucky Softball Club, Ohio Hawks (Cincinnati), Kentucky Voltage, Maryville Knockouts, Tennessee Energy and others, the Explosion Select went 5-2 to lose a heartbreaker in the last inning of the championship game 6-5 to the u...ndefeated KC Freedom. Great job Freedom! The Explosion Selet offense was paced by team MVP Shakara Goodloe and home runs were recorded by Hannahkate Singleton, Ariel Holt and Jarica Ensley. The Explosion pitchers were also up to the challenge as Ariel Holt, Kelsey Woods and Kaylee Cox held the opponents offenses in check. What a great way to break in the new season, great job ladies, we are very proud of your efforts!
