BOOM! Knoxville Explosion '01 traveled to Winged Deer Park in Johnson City, TN on 6/19/15 to play in the  2nd Annual ASA Milligan Summer Showcase. Explosion earned wins over the TN Blazers, West Virginia Diamond Dusters and the Southwest Virginia Storm in pool play and lost a close one to TN Heat Purple to earn their pools 2 seed and a first round bracket bye. Explosion picked up bracket victories over TN Intensity and SWVA Storm to set up a rematch with the Heat in the championship. With a 1-1 tie in the 3rd inning, the game and tournament was called due to inclement weather. Explosion earned a 2nd place runner-up finish and Heat was awarded 1st place based on seeding. The Explosion played with heart and determination all weekend finishing 5-1-1 in the 10 team 14u division. Nice job ladies!
