On Memorial Day weekend, the Explosion 01 team took to Winged Deer Park in Johnson City to play in the ASA Horton Classic. Explosion won their pool by beating North Carolina Fear and Southwest Virginia storm in both pool games. After winning the first two bracket games, Explosion ran into some very fierce competition verses the tournament champions Johnson City Heat 2000. Though Explosion battled hard, they lost 6 to 5 and fell into the losers bracket. On Sunday Explosion was eliminated by tournament runner up the Rogersville Rockettes. Nice job competing young ladies. Explosion 01 will head to Sumter, South Carolina to play in the WFC South Carolina state tournament June 15th and 16th. Good luck girls!
