Congratulations to the '00 Knoxville Explosion who tallied another tournament championship on the 2013 season at the inaugural SEAA Opener held on April 13-14 at beautiful Wear Valley Farm Park in Pigeon Forge!  The '00 Explosion outscored the competition 42-17 and the tournament field featured some talented Knoxville-based teams such as the Maryville Magic, White Lightning, Maryville Cheetahs and Knoxville Storm.  The '00 Explosion faced a very good hitting Knoxville Storm beating them twice enroute to a 8-1 tournament championship game result.  Great job Storm!  A special shout out to Maddie Sickau who continues to lead the '00 Explosion hitters, as well as Haley Williams and Syd Birchfield who kept our opponents bats in check through bracket play!  Nice job girls!

One other note, the Wear Valley Farm Park is absolutely beautiful and a must play for any teams considering playing there.  Also, we would like to acknowledge the job done by Jerry Dills who printed inaugural engraved medals for all players regardless of finish to commemorate the first ever softball tournament at this park!  As you can see from the photo, the championship trophy was larger than some of our players!!!
